Casey J. Dawkins is a Professor of Urban Studies and Planning and Affiliate of the National Center for Smart Growth at the University of Maryland’s School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation.  His current research addresses housing justice; U.S. housing policy evaluation; the causes, consequences, and measurement of residential segregation by race and income; and the link between land use regulations and housing affordability.  He teaches courses on US housing policy, quantitative planning methods, and planning theory.
